The Tana Organization for Pastoralist Aid (TOPAID) was established in 2019 being a Non-Governmental Organization registered under Article 10 of Non-Governmental Act of Kenya.

In achieving its mission and vision, TOPAID purposes to engage and closely work with pastoralist Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Faith Based Organizations (FBOs), Pastoralist Opinion Leaders, National and County Government, Constitutional Commissions and Authorities, Parastatals, Private Sector Actors, Media, Academic Institutions, Donors and all other partners that share a common goal. In terms of target beneficiaries, TOPAID seeks to primarily promote and protect the rights of pastoralists in the coastal region of Kenya.
